Anneke Cummings MAPDT
As the driving force behind DogWorks classes and personalized 1-2-1 training sessions, Anneke (they/them) brings a wealth of technical skills and a genuine passion for fostering deep connections between guardians and their dogs.
A proud full member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers UK, Anneke is also recognised as an Animal Training Instructor by the Animal Behaviour and Training Council. This dual accreditation underscores Anneke's commitment to upholding the highest standards in dog training, ensuring a positive and effective learning experience for both dogs and their handlers.
Ever committed to professional growth, Anneke is currently immersed in a canine behavioral management diploma program. This ongoing education reflects their dedication to staying at the forefront of industry advancements and will position them to address complex behavioral cases with insight and expertise in the future.
Anneke's personal journey with dogs has been one of high energy! From their current companion - a lively Sprocker Spaniel - to previous years spent with an English Springer Spaniel and fostering another Sprocker, Anneke understands the unique dynamics of high-drive gundog breeds. Having also lived with and trained a German Shepherd Dog, Anneke is intimately familiar with the needs and energy levels of high-intensity dogs driven by a strong work ethic.
Beyond the technicalities of training, Anneke's true passion lies in teaching people how to connect with their dogs on an emotional level. At DogWorks, the emphasis is not just on obedience but on building a collaborative and fulfilling relationship between guardians and their pets.
